de|constructing the dish

Hey Guys,

I think I can only visit Granville Island market four days in a row, before heading out to the farms on Vancouver Island. Some of my stops will include Victoria, Duncan and Nanaimo... I'll try to get up past there if time permits. I hear the restaurants in Victoria are very, very good. Does anyone out there have a place they can recommend to check out what's happening with food in Victoria? Even a great pub would be good. Thanks, David.

Great food photos

This restaurant has been on my hit list forever!! Pork and peaches, chilled smoked shrimp, pork lomo and other gems are on the menu. It's in a cool historic neighbourhood in Cleveland....I'll write more after dinner and let you know how it went.

Hey Everyone,

I'm in Vancouver hanging out sometimes at the bookstores... and sometimes at the market... but I did make it to the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts and visited the students. Great bunch - I definitely met some passionate people today. More tomorrow but I'm off now for a quick bit at Gotham to visit an old friend. More later. David
